ReplyDelete6-This story helps understand tradition. One of the of the traditions in keeping quilt is that they made a blanket and the border was anna's babushka. The family handed the blanket around with the wonderful babushka around the edges. I love the tradition when they pass around the blanket with their family. Also once someone died they prayed to send them to heaven. So the story the keeping quilt helps me understand more about traditions.

ReplyDelete3.I think Polacco drew only part in color because all the drawings in color went into the keeping quilt. I think the babushcas were in color because they were on the border of the keeping quilt.
